Steve is one of the Facilitators of Dementia DEEP Peer Support groups, called "Friends for Life: Ay Up Me Duck". DEEP stands for the Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project – the UK network of dementia voices, which consists of around 100 groups of people with dementia. Friends for Life (Nottm) celebrate our "Beauty" overcoming  gale force winds and rain to become a beautiful Sunflower and stands at 6ft 11" or 211 cm. Showing that we can overcome the odds with a smile on our faces, just like our zoom meetings.

I was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in April 2010 aged 59, “A life time ago”. I hope that we can repeat this event and that it promotes better understanding of our experience and ultimately that a cure is found.
