Centre for Dementia Seminar

Thursday, 12 January, 2017

Speaker: Dr Shibley Rahman (video recorded presentation). Hosted by Neil Chadborn (University of Nottingham)

Title: Opportunities and challenges for implementing Dementia Friendly Communities policy

Abstract: Dr Shibley Rahman will shortly be launching his 3rd book on dementia. He advocates a comprehensive and person-centred approach to support people living with dementia. He offers a critique of the implementation of dementia-friendly policies in England. Due to family ill-health, unfortunately Shibley cannot be with us in person, but we will show a video-recorded presentation. Shibley will be able to respond to comments and questions via twitter, and hopefully involve other keen tweeters to get involved in the discussion (nationally or even internationally). Neil Chadborn will host the event and will be keen to tweet your questions or comments.

This seminar will be at 11.30am –12.30pm in Room A08, Institute of Mental Health, Triumph Road, Nottingham NG7 2TU.
