Baby boomers will be brain scanned to unlock secrets of dementia

In a landmark study, 500 men and women who were all born in the same week in 1946, will all undergo 3D brain scans as part of efforts to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease.

The group have been closely monitored since birth, with brain function and memory tests, heart and bone scans, and other assessments of physical health.
