Brain injury increases risk of dementia and early death

Research from the University of Utah School of Medicine showed that veterans who had sustained serious brain injuries were 60 per cent more likely to develop dementia and die two years earlier

Veterans who have experienced brain injury in active service are 60 per cent more likely to develop dementia in later life that those without head injuries, research has found.
