Supermarket opens a ‘dementia friendly’ checkout

A supermarket has become the first store in the country to open a ‘dementia friendly’ checkout.

A sign displaying the Dementia Friends ‘forget-me-not logo’ will be installed at Tesco on Frodsham Street, Chester, to show where people affected by dementia and their carers can go so they can be served by someone who has undergone special training.
