Volunteers needed for dementia sport scheme

You've heard of Singing for the Brain, now a charity is appealing for volunteers to help launch a scheme to keep people with dementia active through sport.

Claire Morris, a dementia support worker at the Alzheimer’s Society, hopes to recruit a team of volunteers to support the new Games for the Brain project.

The project will be launched at Spennymoor Leisure Centre in Spennymoor, County Durham, this month and will be open to people with dementia across the county.
